Nestled in the tranquil hills of Lele, Lalitpur, Gurans Organic Resort is a thoughtfully transformed hospitality project designed to offer an organic retreat experience just a short escape from the urban core. Originally a cluster of private-use buildings, the site has been reimagined into a serene and sustainable destination under the vision of Mr. Biraj Bista and Group.

The strategic location, surrounded by natural beauty and rural charm, presented a unique opportunity to introduce a wellness-focused getaway for individuals and families seeking relaxation, fresh organic food, and a closer connection with nature. Recognizing this potential, the design team undertook the adaptive reuse and renovation of the existing structures to meet the standards and atmosphere of a modern organic resort.

Design Approach
The transformation process involved retaining the structural integrity of the original buildings while integrating essential amenities to suit the hospitality function. Key upgrades included the development of eco-friendly guest accommodations, communal dining areas, activity zones, and improved service facilities. Design interventions prioritized sustainability, comfort, and local aesthetics.

Natural materials, passive design strategies, and a focus on the organic lifestyle were central to the renovation. Interior and exterior modifications ensured a seamless blend of rustic charm and contemporary functionality, preserving the local architectural language while introducing modern comforts.

Landscaping played a vital role in enhancing the resort's atmosphere, with curated gardens, pathways, and seating areas designed to promote relaxation and well-being. The resort also incorporates on-site organic farming practices, offering guests an immersive farm-to-table experience and a deeper appreciation for sustainable living.
